The spectacular South Shore of Hood Canal is known not only for its beauty, but also for its rich arts history, amazing seafood, and uniquely vibrant community. Home of the most productive shellfishery on the West Coast, the area is also rich in Dungeness crab, home to a strong Chinook Salmon run, and of course, the only source in the world for Hood Canal Shrimp!

The South Shore is also the site of our state's first artist colony, and the town of Union has a long history of attracting poets, sculptors, musicians, painters and writers since shortly after its founding. Today that history can be seen in the performance activities of the Anna's Bay Center for Music, the efforts to restore the historic McReavy House as a center of visual and written art, and the creativity and passion of its locals.

Add to this the newly refurbished Hood Canal Marina, one of the most playable and interesting golf courses in the Pacific Northwest, the friendly dining available at the Robin Hood, spa amenities at the local resort, and you'll see why you don't have to go far to find fun.
